This project represents my highest achievement in end-to-end brand activation, demonstrating capability in scaling a concept from grassroots engagement to a major public spectacle. I led this Wave Money-owned Mobile Legends Tournament from scratch, managing competitive qualifiers across three Yangon universities and culminating in a complex, high-stakes Grand Final at Myanmar Plaza. This initiative successfully built genuine brand loyalty among Gen Z and showcased my ability to manage high-value, multi-stage events with a significant 100 Lakh MMK prize pool.

Situation & Challenge
Market Challenge: Wave Money needed a powerful, owned event to organically connect with the university-aged Gen Z demographic. We required an innovative activation that went beyond standard advertising to establish genuine brand affinity and relevance within Myanmar’s e-sports culture.

Business Goal: Design and execute a unique, high-value tournament series that would capture national attention, drive deep youth engagement, and position Wave Money as a modern, youth-centric brand—all executed entirely in-house.

Task & Strategy
My task was the primary project lead, responsible for all facets of the tournament: from strategic design and risk management to the flawless execution of both the localized qualifiers and the large-scale public final.

Strategy: Two-Phase Hype Cycle: The plan was to generate internal buzz through exclusive campus qualifiers (building excitement and participation) before escalating the hype by hosting a high-visibility, public Grand Final at a premium, accessible venue (Myanmar Plaza) to maximize reach.

Key Action Areas: Managed the entire event budget, secured internal and external vendor support, developed competition rules, and orchestrated a massive prize fund and entertainment program.

Action & Execution
I personally led and executed the complex logistics across the campaign's two distinct stages:

Phase 1: Grassroots Qualifiers:

University Coordination: Successfully planned and executed preliminary tournaments across three major Yangon universities, managing logistics, campus ambassador programs, and on-ground branding to select the champion team from each campus.

Product Integration: Designed campus activities that subtly integrated Wave Money usage (e.g., app-based registration) to drive initial product adoption among participants.

Phase 2: The Grand Final Spectacle:

Major Venue Management: Managed the complex logistics, permits, and setup for the Grand Final event at Myanmar Plaza, ensuring professional, high-quality production in a premium public location.

High-Energy Entertainment: Elevated the event's excitement beyond the game by incorporating a 100 Lakh MMK grand prize, a high-performance MC, live DJ music, cosplay competitions, and interactive mini-games, ensuring maximum energy and audience retention.

Digital Narrative: Directed all digital content and communications to follow the champions' journey, using the massive prize pool and the spectacle of the final event to drive sustained social media buzz.

Results & Impact
This internal project delivered massive brand impact and successfully executed a multi-stage logistical challenge:

Exceptional Participation: Achieved high participation rates from the targeted university segment and generated significant public attendance at the Grand Final.

Logistical Triumph: Successfully managed the complexity and budget of a high-value, multi-phase event, demonstrating exceptional organizational capability (starting from 0 to 100 accomplishment).

Brand Affinity: The tournament successfully positioned Wave Money as a leading youth-focused brand that is authentic to the gaming community, generating high levels of organic social buzz and positive brand sentiment.
